Wyrd
July 18-19, 2019
Adapted from William Shakespeare's Tragedy of Macbeth by Rebecca Sawdon and Lucia Steltenpohlová, Wyrd explored themes of fate, ambition, and time, by observing the events of the play unfold under the three Wyrd Sisters.

Rebecca performed as one of the three Wyrd Sisters and had an integral role in the management, and the collaborative creative direction and design of the piece. The production was a sellout and was received with great acclaim from its audiences.
Rebecca will write her final Masters dissertation around notions of apocalypse in contemporary adaptations of Macbeth, discussing Wyrd alongside the National Theatre's production of Macbeth, and Akira Kurosawa's Throne of Blood.
