Hamlet

Rebecca was tasked with directing a production whose aim was to showcase the design and integrity of the creative team’s work. However, in tandem, Rebecca was determined to create a coherent, provocative and stimulating performance.

In terms of Dramaturgy Rebecca focused on themes of love and madness, the troubled and strange relationship between Hamlet and his Mother, alongside Hamlet’s ability to see and speak with the ghost of his father. She also focused on rhythm and metre in rehearsal, encouraging actors to approach Shakespeare’s text in diverse new ways.
